Lower price reverses trend

Feed prices are still nearly triple what we paid in 2007, but they have fallen and stabilized enough that we can lower the price of our farm-fresh Turkeys for Thanksgiving and for Christmas. And, the grain for our feed is grown in Maine and is free of genetically modified organisms. We are paying about 5 percent less for this gmo-clean feed, so we have lowered our price by 5 percent.
Our pasture-grown Turkeys are $3.79 lb., down from $3.99 last year. Smoked Turkeys are $5.99 lb. Boneless breast roasts, for you white-meat lovers, are $6.95 lb., and bone-in thighs, for dark-meat lovers, are $5.70 lb.
