We estimate 20 minutes per pound in a 350° oven.
Place 1″ water in bottom of roasting pan, along with neck and giblets (if desired).
Place aluminum foil tent with holes in it over the turkey. We highly recommend using a meat thermometer. Put thermometer in the heaviest part of the thigh.
Check turkey every hour to hour and a half, basting and adding water to pan, if needed. When the temperature reaches 170°, remove foil to brown. When the turkey reaches 180°, it is done. ENJOY!
Suggested cooking instructions for the turkey pot pies:
Please remember regardless of how we suggest to cook our pot pies, you should check the internal temperature with a meat thermometer to be sure that it is at 185 degrees, that is the best way to insure it is fully cooked.
Remove the cardboard cover. Cook the pot pies at 425 degrees the small pot pies for approx. 30 to 40 minutes the large 45 to 60 minutes. The crust should be nicely browned and the gravy bubbly. Also, remember to take off the cardboard cover before putting in the oven.
Suggested cooking instructions for empanadas: Remove from plastic bag and cardboard container and place empanadas on oven proof dish. Cook in oven at 425 degrees for approximately 15 to 20 minutes.
